Some of the traits in the 1st age book are 1st age only. For some of these, this makes a lot of sense (wooden wagons for example). But others puzzle me a bit. Is the choice to make certain things "1st age only" based on flavour, or is it mechanical. The one example I'd like to throw out there is goblins. There is tons of goblins with guns and wacky inventions in popular media, in both modern and sci-fi settings (like for example the grots from 40k). However, in Genesys, goblins don't exist outside of the first age. Is this because their designated traits are thát strong in the future eras, or is it something else. This is pure curiosity regaring the design philosophy behind this. :)

Yea, Ive noticed the issues. Going to assume weather problems somewhere since a lot of the US is having power outages.
Your going to see goblins in the 2nd and 3rd Age. While some traits are gone (not very many really), most of them have changed or gotten stronger. You will be able to replace traits with 2nd Age versions or keep your current 1st Age version when you hit the new age through progression.
Goblins for example which are a favorite in-house for their Angry Tank Drivers. Goblin mechanics never install the same control systems inside their tanks and sometimes update them when no one is looking.......... which leads to some unexpected results and pissed off tank crews.
So there is a lot of fun in there with Goblins who can start creating vehicle classes in the 2nd Age.
Im not certain every concept will be available, but Im certain we have most of them and more!
I should really do an article promotion for Goblins.
