Wagons as Infused Items?

For +25pts you can let a Wagon ride on Steam (Wagons p121) as long as a model has the Infused Item ability (p27 Steam Infusion is what I am using to achieve this ). Well that's atleast how I understood it. So does Technomancy bolster Wagons in this case too? I don't think so as it's more for bolstering Staves, Wands and weapons. But it seems like a waste to ignore the Technomancy 1 ability. I could use it on a flinktlock pistol, but I don't understand the interaction it will have with this item? Basically a second question.
