I had a neat idea about a fey race that fell out of harmony with magic and became currupted. I was going to do this by giving a bunch of my classes thr wizardry ability but realized that Im not sure exactly how this would work. As with most of my queries Im going to break it down into pieces.
Race decides difficulties and mortal limits so these should not be affected. (Not a question just stating a starting point)
A fey class with wizardry would have 2 different ways of channeling either class level due to being fey or toughness due to being a wizard. So..
a. Can the wizard choose how to channel every time it casts a spell or
b. Is the wizard now only able to channel toughness due to taking the wizard ability or
c. The way the wizard is allowed to channel depends on how it knows the power. It can channel level for powers it gaines through fey spheres and toughness for powers it gained through the wizardry skill.
3. Can a fey add properties to a spell it knows due to being a wizard on the fly like it can with powers it gains through being a fey or is it now limited to having to learn power enhancment traits like non fey wizards if it wants to add properties to its spells.
4. Im sure ill find more questions about this as I continue building this wild race.
No problem. I was just trying to figure out how it would all work. Sounds like it'll be really limiting for my higher level guys to not be able to modify their spells on the fly but I'll see if I can make it work.
