How exactly does the points value for a class get worked out when they've taken a monster X ability?
Is it a complete restart of points that then ignores the multiplier in the case of advanced classes?
Would using Biestial Hybrid to take Monstrous Beast allow you to make a monster class in your own faction, or would it just then restrict you to making Biests?
Thanks
Monster X is just replacing your Faction Traits with new ones. X is the number of traits you will be selecting from either your own domain or from Monsters of Myth of Legend.
You still use your classes as normal.
It works like this when creating a class...
1. Take the trait that has Monster X as a class trait. Write it down as a class trait.
2. Replace your Faction Traits. These are your new faction traits "for this class only".
3. Just wrap up any additional Class options you want to take. All points are done according to how the class is built.
Biestial Hybrid just allows X bonus traits from the Biest Domain (only). Reptilia Hybrid X grants the bonus from the Reptilia domain etc. Its a limited way to get traits from a different domain.
If for some reason you took a Monster X trait as a bonus trait.......you are going around the long way with a lot of extra point costs. Its not that it couldn't be done, just that you are really paying a pretty big point cost for the Hybrid trait and then again for the trait that gives Monster X. It would also be difficult to work out, but could be done. I would have to say 9.5 times out of 10 there has to be a better way.
