I am building a faction of haunted suits of armor. All spoopy ghost knights. For this faction, I'd like them to have acces to trebuchets (onagers). To get catapults I need at least a level 2 class, due to the properties of the trebuchet. For this the class needs a trait that grants access to onagers. Lets say T1 "Military Siege Equipment" from the Human Domain. To get access to that, I need Forbidden Lore. For practical reasons this excludes the use of the Incarnate subclass. So Devout subclass it is. Devout are only allowed to have traits that are mirrored by the Paragon. I.e. my Paragon needs Forbidden lore.
The question: Does my paragon also need to pick the Military Siege Equipment trait, or is a trait granting forbidden lore enoug?
Alternatively, if my Paragon goes fobidden lore --> scientific adaptability --> trait "xyz"; do my Devout have to take the same trait "xyz", or can they go forbidden lore --> scientific adaptability --> trait "abc" as well?
I know my question is probably confusing so let me know if I need to clear things up
Mark, going humanoid is the easiest way, however...... Take a single a archlord into madness to get to Forbidden Lore. Then unlock the proper branch that you want with siege equipment in the humanoid domain.
