I'm looking to make a Fey Race, and wish to inject a bit of spidery goodness to them!
I'm still uncertain whether I will take the Madness Sphere Forbidden Lore trait at Class or Faction, and I realize there are different ramifications for both.
My main concerns are:
If I use Forbidden Lore to take an Arachnea Classification Trait, it seems (due to the wording in the Forbidden Lore Ability entry, and the way Classifications and Orders interact) that this opens the Classification Traits as well as the Arachnid and Scorpionoid Order Traits to my Faction/Class (at appropriate times and cost). Is this true, or would I only have direct access to the Classification Traits, and indirect access to Order Traits through the Arachnid (8pts) and Whip Scorpionoid (6pts) Traits (both of which, among other things, provide a single First Tier trait from their respective Order)
Would taking a Trait from the Arachnea Classification (either as Class or as Faction) then change Base Characteristics of Fey into Insekt stats of that Classification? I mean, as far as I can tell, I'm not taking the the Arachnea Classification itself, just a trait from the "branch" or "entry", so it seems like that would not be a requirement, or even legal by rules as I'm making Fey... but I'm finding that 80% of the time, my interpretations of rules in this game are incorrect.
yeah cause the wording is misleading. from this sentence alone " you follow the rules of the domain your taking traits from" sounds like you follow the rules for it. how ever I do understand that with respect to the underlying examples of forbidden lore.
what was meant was "you follow the rule for how traits are obtained, within the domain that the trait comes from" and only those rules.
