so had my first game last weekend and my opponent had Deceptive combat which he successfully used to deny my first round of activation.
I have a couple questions about it.
if you lose your command for the first round does that effectively make you lose the initiative for the second round, since you didn't activate anything?.
for the Fey if your species has t2 traits but the models levels your using don't, do you still get the t2 traits effects?
Deceptive Advantage reduces the Command Value of their opponent based on the Initiative for the 1st Game Round. However you always get 1 regardless of what happens, so you cannot be pushed below 1. (As Jack Said)
The rest of the game is done as normal.
So every squad should of been able to activate during the first game round, just at a much slower pace.
I might be reading this wrong, but am I understanding right that you didn't do anything the first Game Round? According to the base rules you must activate at least one squad per turn, if you have any units remaining. I don't think Deceptive Advantage can reduce this to zero, if that's what happened.
1) I'd say you finished activating everything first (since you have nothing to activate), giving you the initiative on the second turn. "Squads held." seems to imply that you can end your turn (and round) because you've finished activating everything you can.
2) No.
