Class Level four?

@Kirlian Silvestre Sorry used the wrong term, but as I am staring over and the monster does not get any faction/species traits, I have none of those, so I only have my class traits, and I am using them to take "monster traits" correct? This sounds like they will not be that tough, especially as they are supposed to be the biggest and meanest of all. I am guessing I am missing something, but having read it several times now I do not see how they are better than a standard level five.

@cdat19ker Vet remember that you can still keep putting the allowed options on the class you are creating it on (these may have extra trait, increase characteristic, etc.), and in addition you can even get more traits for it with progress points. furthermore, I am not completely sure, but if I am not mistaken, any traits you have taken from the base class of the monster class also remain, as they are class traits. For example, if you took a level 1 class and took Adaptive Advantage 4pts: Increase Martial 1, and you are now making a monster out of a level 2 class that is based on that level 1 class, the monster maintains that trait. it seems strange to me. but this trait was taken as a class trait, so it remains.

@Kirlian Silvestre Getting back to this question, it specificaly says that you lose your base faction traits, so my 3-6 (or what ever the faction gives) traits I loose them, and get nothing to replace them. I do get my class traits one of which I am using to make the monster. As this is a level five monster (or am I missing something here?) how is this going to be better than a faction level five monster when it will have 3-6 less traits? When I look over the monster traits they might be slightly better, but not enough to make up for the loss of the faction traits.
