Trying to work out the kinks in our faction creation and a couple of questions came up regarding age limits. Increases do not specify (page 11) on when these apply. Does the limit apply to the base species or to the individual classes? We'll go with the 1st age +4 maximum for these following questions For example in species: My Reptilian puts its Reptilian Rigor into toughness (+1 Toughness) putting my base toughness at 4. That mean that I can only add +3 to Toughness to even my classes through traits or stat bonuses, correct? What about Humanoids when they create their classes from previous ones? If I make a level 2 from my level 1, then spend the 10 points to give it +1 wound. I then create a level 3 from that level 2, who now gets +2 wounds from being a level 3 and using an additional 10pts to give it another wound putting it at 5 wounds, which is still under +4 cap being at only +3 (class started at 2 base). Finally I make a level 5 from that level 3 getting an additional +3 wounds putting it at 8 wounds, which normally is above the 1st age bonus +1 if we go off base species but since its off the class stats its only +3 since it started at 5. The reptilia example feels more correct and the humanoid example feels wrong but since the stacking information does not specify species or class it is *technically* correct but feels like cheating. Finally if the Humanoid example is incorrect (like it should be imo) then what about monstesr, dragons, dinosaurs, ect that all used to have 2 wounds as a base but then were changed to have 1 wound +1 wound? That feels like its cheating those classes/factions out of being big beefy bulldozing battling brobdingnagians. Now for a Fey question. Omega traits. Alpha traits are determined by their sphere of influence, I'm guess Omega traits are going to be the same. So for example my paragon has earthen strength but only 2 other earth traits so its only +3 to toughness (2 from the traits, 1 from itself) correct? My Fey is currently composed of deceit, chaos, and Earth so I have enough traits on the paragon to get +9 IF it counts all the traits but after re-reading it looks like I only get +3. Finally, heroes. Level 5 heroes get +1 to the age bonus. Does this stack with the additional bonus from being a level 5 class, therefore getting +2 to the age bonus? If I make a humanoid level 1 hero, can I take it with the Chain of Command ability with +1 Discipline for 5 points built in? Basically making the sergeant of the squad a hero? To level up a hero I trade my primary mission award to do so but I can also give it a hero talent. Can I give it a class trait instead if I wanted or is that something I would have to house rule?

So I am also not understanding what you are saying about human wound limits. So here is an example tell me if it is right or wrong (and if wrong where). I start with my base and nothing I give it adds any wounds, but I do give it giant or ogre (does not matter which for this), then my level one class I give it massive size for its one trait this gives it +1 wound (2 total now), then I make a level two based on this level 1 and I give it the trait Titan for +2 wounds (4 total now with 3 added to base), as well I give it a second trait of Difficult to Kill +1 more wound (5 total now, with 4 added to base) and then I give it a increased characteristic of +1 wound (6 total now, with 5 added to base) I then make a level three from this level two, and it gets +2 wounds for being a level three (8 total now with 7 added to base), and then I use my free stat and the increase characteristic to add 2 more wounds (ten total now with 9 added to base). Yes doing this does not make a well rounded unit, but were did I go wrong if I did?
