Also just for fun there is quite a few Energy Weapons as well for the 3rd Age.
Here is a list of just some what is coming.
BEAM WEAPONS-Gas Powered laser weapons with little recoil and solid range. There are some options in these as well, including Overcharging or even some semi-auto fire.
Beam Rifle
Beam Pistol
Rotary Beam Cannon
Heavy Beam Cannon
Dual Heavy Beam Cannon
Tri-Barreled Heavy Beam Cannon
Quad- Barreled Heavy Beam Cannon
Fractal Beam Cannon- distorts physical reality upon impact.
ETHERIC WEAPONS- Harness Ethereal Matter into an energy beam. Can stun living targets.
Etheric Pulse Rifle
Etheric Repulsor Cannon
FUSION WEAPONS- Short intense beams that can fire through multiple targets and vaporize targets and slag vehicles.
Fusion Gun
Nuclear Fusion Cannon
GRAVITON WEAPONS- These use the targets mass against them. Can implode if used incorrectly but do nasty things those under effects of time manipulation.
Graviton Rifle
Graviton Rift Cannon
ION WEAPONS- These bursts of energy carry with them an emi pulse capable of stunning vehicles.
Ion Pulse Rifle
Ion Burst Cannon
PHOTON WEAPONS- Fire quantum light particles and able to be modulated (have several strength settings), and accelerated.
Photon Rifle
Photon Pistol
Photon Quantum Cannon
PLASMA WEAPONS- Fire superheated plasma that can do tremendous damage based upon the save of the opponent.
I am very much looking forward to these ages. Just thought would share some thoughts with you (worth what you paid for them, just sharing my real world experience). The main difference between a Minigun and Gatling Gun is what is rotating it (man or machine), also they are more accurate than standard machinguns. When someone says RPG most think of the USSR RPG-7, it is really a rocket not a grenade with a rocket on it (an not that different from the LAW/AT-4 in practice). The MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) is a rocket pack not a missile (but they do have some missile that each replaces six rockets). And last thing I saw body armor there is also (more used to be really) a level I vest as well, but not really used any more (but maybe in second age?), and also a level V (will stop Armor Piercing sniper/Battle rifles ammo).
Cant tell you how much time was spent on the info like you described. We have spent far many more hours going over modern weaponry that I could ever suggest. It was a ton of fun and discussing it with a favorite buddy of mine who is still involved in it all.
While there are some oddities we we did try and keep things with a basis on what exists, although we do describe the next age, the 2nd Age as Modern Fantasy.
With that said there are some guns in the real world that use the wording Minigun and Gatling Gun that are very similar in the names and do not follow the traditional definition. So we chose at that point to keep it a little more open ended to give the player the freedoms to be as precise as they chose.
For example we used a weapon like the M134 Minigun as our sample "Minigun" and then other guns like the GAU-19/B .50 caliber Gatling Gun. We left larger cannons as Chainguns etc.
I am certain the guys digging through the 2nd Age right now to create factions for the books are having a blast and trying to figure out what weapons they are going to be taking advantage of.
@natfka Just passing along my over 30 years of hands on, I do not know any details other than what was posted, so I am not saying you are doing it wrong. I just know that somethings are easy to fall into TV traps (again not saying it is wrong, just not real life accurate) and for some it can be issues.
@cdat19ker Vet It always helps. I guarantee your 30 years of hands on is more experience than I have with much of these, which is why we sought some help. Much of what we did with the weapons was a learning experience. We tried to keep a balance with the goal to be accurate in usage of the weapons but also apply them to the game how we can.
I will be really interested in your thoughts upon release.
OMG......... Im not certain where to begin with this one. There are tons of weapons types with options/upgrades/advanced options.
The one thing to take note of is that weapons will feel very different in the following ages.
Quick look at Automatic Weapons for example.
Automatic weapons let you unload lots of shots but you only get to keep so many. For example a Light Machine Gun is a 6/3 Automatic Firing Weapon. It allows you to roll 6 dice and keep the highest 3. Because you are using automatic fire your opponent chooses which models in his/her squad are hit.
Quick list that started off the top of my head but I lost track and had to refer to the books.
MODERN FIREARMS
Often have Semi-auto, Burst Fire, and Fully Automatic Fire upgrade options
Modern Rifle
Heavy Caliber Rifle
Modern Pistol
Heavy Caliber Pistol
Sniper Rifle
Shotgun
SELECTIVE FIRE WEAPONS
The ultimate in choices of fire modes. Single shot, Semi Auto, Burst fire, and Fully Automatic
Assault Rifle
Battle Rifle
MACHINE GUNS
Submachine Guns
Light Machine guns
Medium Machine Guns
Heavy Machine Guns
ROTARY MACHINE GUNS
Minigun...... this is a 12/6 weapon!
Gatling Gun
FLAMERS
Flamer
Heavy Flamer
Flame Cannon
CANNONS
each has some different ammo types including High explosive and Anti-tank options. The strength of the gun equates to the mm. So a 40mm Cannon is a Str 4 Light Cannon while a 100mm Cannon is a Heavy Cannon that is str 10. These can be fitted to vehicles and to weapon carriages.
40mm Cannon
60mm Cannon
80mm Cannon
Heavy cannons do additional damage, can easily do devastating damage, etc
100mm Cannon
120mm Cannon
140mm Cannon
AUTOMATIC CANNONS
Autocannon + Twin Barrel and Quad Barrel options... did I mention flak ammunition options?
Chaingun
Rotary Autocannon

These are often very fixated on specific target types. Only dealing with weapons, not Rocket Packs or Electro Magnetic Shielding.
Aether Pistol/Rifle
Vibro-Cannon
Tesla Coils (are an add on to other weapons giving them a higher strength -must charge).
FEY PARTICLE LANCES
We will only deal with the 2nd Age here as in the third age each Sphere has their own Lance Variant!
Null Lance- Darkness
Radiant Lance- Light
Each lance here has its own Heavy version + a Melee type.
SLUG GUNS- FULL BORE WEAPONS
These suckers fire a large caliber slug requiring a lot of strength just to control the weapon. (think Biests.... Giants.....) The basic slug is a 60mm slug
Several different ammo options including incendiary, heavy slugs, and the infamous Dragons Breath
Short Range/uncontrollable Kickback/and additional damage.
Slug Gun
Slug Gun -Pistol
Heavy Slug Gun
FLETCHETTE GUNS
Different types of ammo for Fletchette guns including Clusters, Heavy Fletchette Rounds Sabot, and Needles.
Fletchette Rifle
Fletchette Pistol
Needler Rifle or Pistol
MELEE WEAPONS
I Haven't touched on melee weapons. There are some new options like the Combat Knife. Most Martial Weapons from the first age are now Common Weapons! And you thought Ranged Combat was getting dangerous......So melee is not left out at all as we saw during today's playtester session here in-house where on one table a Fey Horde army overran defensive machine guns while being literally ran over by vehicles. The death count was absolutely glorious. Pretty certain our humanoid player should of brought some spotlights with him, the battle was at night.
BODY ARMOR
There are different types of armor in the following ages. These correspond to modern equivalents.
Type IIa- Armor 2
Type II- Armor 2 with a bonus to Rtn
Type IIIa- Armor 3
Type III- Armor 3 with a bonus to Rtn
Type IV- Armor 4
OK, fine- here are some screenshots. Time to call it a night. Hope that helps gets the juices flowing! Especially knowing that you can always modify them with advanced weapon traits.
One last note, everything mentioned here is 2nd Age, mostly found again in the 3rd Age but with even more weapon types. So we will preview more soon. Ion Cannons, Plasma, Lasers, and the list goes on.

Ahhhh Thanks than I safely can continue modelling some weapons for the army :D
