I found out about this game after the kickstarters were done, my friend got the first age and we have been trying to figure it out, but I was looking on the kickstarter page and it said that the 2nd and 3rd age were expected to be shipped July 2021. I am guessing that Coivid messed with that, but is there any ETA on when they could be expected? I have found the first age to be fun enough (right now lots of things that are either broken or we are doing wrong) but the second age is the one that I am most interested in.

I think Natfka & co are currently very busy with working out the kinks of the 2nd and 3d age books, since he hasn't been on the forums a lot for the past weeks. I vaguely recall some mention being made that they're going to be released somewhere this year (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The possible broken-ness of the game is something that you can work around with within your group, be it by gentleman's agreements, houserules, or making units to deal with your opponent (as intended, iirc).
