Ahhhh It is time to reveal Bactria again, with new toys and tricks in which I will try explain from unit to unit.
Here I attempted to make my base cost as low as possible, with a lot of Abundant res, so most equipment will cost less, the abundant res could have been place on Bactra Industry but would effect less units overall. The reason for taking 1 Mineral Riches is simple later on the Faction will take advanced weaponry and out-phase (though still keeping the trait, to keep the cheap disc + 2) Pikes with Spears +1 Threat range, so Pikemen in the army can become cheaper, Since Abundant res only works on one item, so with a advanced weapon can use Minaral Riches, See Citizens for the Math.
Taking Adaptive Science and adaptive advantage is a wise move as it opens up to 2 Rare Traits
I still have room for 2 more Free cost Traits wish would be Abundance 0pts: Abundant Resources 1,
Mission Award Trait Only and Improved Melee Weapons (Armory): Advanced Melee
Weapons 1 7pts and later on taking Mineral Wealth 1pts: Mineral Riches 3,
Mission Award Trait Only, Class Trait Only
This range Unit is really box standard there isn't much really to say about them, except for they are supported by Bactra Industry which allows them to use Siege Engines.
I can also field them on a common Horse and have great Horse archers there can move 10 and shoot bows.
These men and women are the frontline unit and can be Light hoplite (naked with a spear and shield) or as the glorious pikemen.
The pikemen are a really big money sink as their current cost with primitive equipment still cost 18pts, but as progression moves on the pikemen with and possible mineral riches(Sarrisa Spear 11-4=7pts and abundant res(Shield or Light Armour 4 -3=1pts) they would cost 19pts(mineral riches 3 cost 1pts), which is a upgrade because of better gear and with out most restrictions of primitive gear(pri Shield can't be used against real weapons and pri Armour -1 move).
Ahhhh the Hill tribes, Really not much to say, just place them as forward as possible and try to slow down the enemy.
The Broken are fun and cheap cannon fodder, they can still hit were it hurts. they can be used to either channelled through a Priest or drown the enemy in copses.
Though I am not sure they may take a trait when created or taking the Spawn mark?
I really Like the Fey-hybrid trait, it is made of pure fun. Here is My attempt to make a Stone Golem which will join other units, a support in melee with a special big sword.
By making them Undead I should crossed out Wounds, Willpower and Moral, as they are undead now.
The Fey Hybrid really opens up for new options, but remember increases only stack within their branches of life and by taking a trait from a whole other domain is its own branch of life, so I can't take Skeletal 9pts: Undead, Increase Toughness 1, Shattered 1, Undeadtype. Well I can take the trait but the Toughness increase would be wasted.
The Acolyte act as a stepping stone for the Seer, but he is still a class there can be use on the table top, as a willpower 4 should be a 50/50 chance to cast DERANGED LUNATIC!!!
Demonic trait is also just a stepping stone and I can't take +1 willpower as it is a different branch of life, and with a fey hybrid trait in Infernal(noooo not the band) I can take Spells which would normally be out of my reach as a Priest, I could increase the willpower for 10pts more, but I am not really sure of it.
Really not much to say, they have the same thing as the Pikemen, except for Horse.
This is the only level 3 I can field and will for the most of the time act as the general, with Dark Lord I can use my opponents un-activated models to channel through losing their activation and maybe they are going to die when I over cast :person_shrugging:
This Model is really to be feared and needs protection, and with access into the Infernal Tree she can gain Infernal spells and make herself into a Portal so models can instant activated out of her and surprise the Enemy.
And from here on out we Will begin to see Rare traits being used, as their cost is rather low but good, when they become 1 Trait rather than 2, so they don't exceeds the max number of Class traits.
This is the Support unit, this unit will never be fielded. Weapon Forges allows weapons the class have access to, to be used by the unit it supports, same goes for abundant res and craftmanship(this allows the unit to use items with a higher prop(in this case Prop 2), this doesn't count for Mineral Riches.
This unit can be made as expensive as possible as it should never be fielded.
She is more or less the same as a Seer but got a cool Weapon through using Forbidden Lore, Forbidden Lore allows you to skip Tier 1 traits when taking a Fey trait.
She allows takes Spawn so 1 Unit can become Spawn.
She is also the Last line of inheritance from 1 level (except 2) to level 5, and can barely have no more new traits. And she has become the big power house through all those class option stats increases.
I hope this has been somewhat insightful or a inspiration
