Correct. But this does not prevent you from deploying a squad of mountable monsters without a rider if you wish (using the discipline of the monster as they are in fact not mounted). I do that with my dino's you see.
As far as I can tell in your faction I've only seen mounts as equipment? And they don't count for your squadsize. I didn't see the Mount ability at your Monsters. But if they had that, they would stay a seperate squad, even if you put a rider on them, for squad size purposes.
